Cosmetify Launches 2021 Index, Ranks the World’s Biggest Beauty Brands

Also unveils who are the hottest beauty influencers in 2021 and more.

Cosmetify has launched its latest Cosmetify Index, ranking the world’s biggest beauty brands on factors such as their social reach and engagement.
 
The index takes a look at the biggest brands in the world, many of which have been on the rise in the last twelve months, as well as who are the hottest beauty influencers in 2021.

The Hottest Beauty Brands, Ranked

To begin, Cosmetify took a look at the 100 most searched beauty brands in the world, ranking them on: Instagram followers, Instagram engagement, Instagram mentions, Google search volume and change in search volume.
 
Here is the top 10:
 
  1. Huda Beauty
  2. MAC Cosmetics
  3. Anastasia Beverly Hills
  4. Avon
  5. The Body Shop
  6. Yves Rocher
  7. Florence by Mills
  8. Lush
  9. Oriflame
  10. Kylie Cosmetics

The Most Powerful Influencers

Cosmetify also refreshed its look at 50 of the world’s most influential beauty influencers, which looks not just at the follower counts of Insta and YouTube beauty gurus, but also how much money they could potentially be earning from their sponsored posts.
 
The top three influencers are:
 
  1. James Charles
  2. Bretman Rock
  3. Yuya

Rising Beauty Brands

Next up, Cosmetify took a closer look at which beauty brands have seen the biggest increase in interest over the last twelve months.
 
The top three rising beauty brands are:
 
  1. JLo Beauty
  2. Mallows Beauty
  3. Le Prunier

Beauty Brands Losing Popularity

These three brands saw a decline in popularity and searches:
 
  1. Jeffree Star Cosmetics
  2. Kat Von D Beauty
  3. Clinell

Biggest Social Following

Beauty brands are often among the most followed and engaged with on social media, using to their advantage to showcase tips and tutorials with their fans, as well as working with the ever-increasing number of beauty influencers and bloggers.
 
The most followed beauty brands are:
 
  1. Huda Beauty (49.5 million Instagram followers)
  2. Kylie Cosmetics (25.4 million Instagram followers)
  3. MAC Cosmetics (24.2 million Instagram followers)

Each Country’s Favorite Beauty Brand

One of the areas where Cosmetify saw the biggest change in this edition of the Index was its look at each country’s favorite beauty brand.
 
  1. Avon (Favored in 37 countries)
  2. Oriflame (Favored in 25 countries)
